Yung-Chen Yuen

A musician born in Kaohsiung in 1990 received education from Zhengxing Elementary School, Da-Yi junior high school, the Mechanical Department at Kaohsiung Industrial high school and National Kaohsiung Normal university. Yongcheng has worked with a number of artists including Yong-Shun Lin, Zong-Ru Hsieh, Jia-Ming Zhang, Xian-Neng Li, Chuan-bin Wang, Shi-Ping Deng, Kai Zheng, and David Argenta.

Yong-Cheng is the principal trumpet player both in TLBE Brass and Kaohsiung Citizens Band and also plays in Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra. Besides, he is active in trumpet education as the conductor at Kaohsiung Industrial high school and Mingyi junior high school and an instructor at Mingyi and Nanzi junior high schools, Chien-chin primary school and K.H.S..

2014/08/12 – Performed “Ode for trumpet” with Kaohsiung Citizens Band at Asia and Pacific Band Directors’ Association (APDBA) in Korea;

2014/08/17 – Performed the Concerto “The Phantom of the Opera” with Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra;

2014/10/22 – Performed “El Cid” with Alumni Union of Kaohsiung Industrial high school;

2015/10/18 – Performed “Castle in the Sky” with Sha Tin Philharmonic Orchestra;

2016/07/25 – Performed “Castle in the Sky” with Kaohsiung Citizens Band;

2018/07/20 – Performed “You raise me up” with Kaohsiung Citizens Band at Asia and Pacific Band Directors’ Association (APDBA) in Japan;

Yong-Cheng has been devoted to music education and performance and involved with Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra, Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra, Taiwan Soloists Symphony Orchestra, and Tainan Symphony Orchestra.
