Second prize of Osaka International Music Competition of Japan, scholarships by FUJI TV of Japan and SPEDIDAM of France. Cheng Yu-Tai specializes in flute extended technique including beatbox flute and circular breathing, has published two educational references such as: “Circular Breathing For All Wind Instruments” & “Beatbox Flute”.
After a decade journey life in France, Yu-Tai decided to come back to Taiwan to give his power on creating inspiration and mind-blowing activities by his creations and over-boundaries works in Taiwan.
Yu-Tai is now professor of flute and chamber music in Kaohsiung & Pingtung’s junior and senior high school, second flute of Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra, member of Viva Flauti Quintet, and the member of first taiwanese pop choir of Klangbezirk Taiwan Singers (KTS).
